Gold for God is the ultimate fundraiser, for it is based on recycling gold which requires minimal effort, but has a potentially high return. Most organizations raise money by asking for cash, times, and/or energy via candy sales, and car washes. Such time consuming activities require much effort from the participants and produce a very small return.
